WHY YOU SHOULD FLY AIR NEW ZEALAND!

Air New Zealand is literally the best airline! I have flown with a number of airlines and have had some of the worst luck when it comes to flying; I am sure fellow travelers can relate. Luckily, I have had great luck flying Air New Zealand so I can see why they have been rated the number one airline by AirlineRatings.com for the fifth year in a row!

The first flight I took with Air New Zealand was from San Francisco to Auckland with my family a few years back. I was beyond impressed with the airline! Since then, I have flown Air New Zealand a few times domestically in New Zealand and can’t say enough great things about them.

While driving the country is absolutely spectacular, if you are pressed for time, book a flight with Air New Zealand. I highly recommend flying domestically within New Zealand because it is SO easy! The airports are small and security is a breeze (if there is security!) making it easy to fly throughout the country.

First of all, Air New Zealand kicks off every flight with a fun safety video making you feel instantly welcome. Here is one of their most well known videos which takesplace in Middle-Earth aka Hobbiton! Their safety video is a creative way to make your flight with Air New Zealand memorable as well as set them apart from other airlines. Whenever I have flown Air New Zealand, I have found the crew to be incredibly friendly and helpful which makes all the difference when flying.

I have found Air New Zealand to have totally reasonable rates! I flew from Auckland to Queenstown for about $140 (USD) round trip. Most of their domestic flights are within this price range. If you have flexible dates, you can find flights from California into Auckland for around $950 USD.

I have sat on my fair share of uncomfortable seats while flying which is not fun – especially on long flights! I have found the seats on Air New Zealand to be super comfortable and spacious. I sat in the middle seat on my most recent flight with Air New Zealand and while this is generally the worst seat ever, I was totally comfy!! Since I am short, space is generally not an issue for me when flying, however, my boyfriend is tall and found the seats to be very spacious.

Air New Zealand has some of the cleanest planes I have ever been on! I have found all of my flights with Air New Zealand to be super clean which as a neat freak I can totally appreciate!

Air New Zealand serves CookieTime cookies, I mean…need I say more!
