Things to Know

Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia broken up into two different segments. These segments are nonadjacent from one another and separated by the South of China Sea. The two parts are known as West Malaysia (AKA Peninsular Malaysia) and the other is East Malaysia. Both segments are beautiful and receive millions of tourists each year.

Having been, I was impressed with what this country has to offer. Everything from its diverse culture and beauty to how easy it was to travel between cities. It’s no surprise that their numbers keep increasing year after year. It is a country that has everything from tea-filled highlands to tropical coastal regions. If you are considering adding Malaysia to your next trip, we highly recommend it!

When To Visit

Malaysia sits a little north of the Equator and is prone to a tropical monsoon climate. All year long the average temperature during the day ranges between 82° to 89°F (28° to 32°C). The best time to visit is generally between April and early October. During these months, you can find the weather to be drier and sunnier than the months of late October through March. The months from late October to March are much rainier and are referred to as the wet season. Although the wet season tends to be lighter on the west coast than on the east side of Malaysia. The west side can receive up to half the amount of rain that the east side receives. So keep this in mind when you are visiting Malaysia. Try to pick months that would allow you to make the most out of your vacation!
